An easy & healthy slush! Frozen watermelon, coconut water, strawberries & fresh lime make this a refreshing summer drink!
I’ve got a perfect summertime recipe for you today. It’s well over 100 degrees where I live in Arizona so we really enjoyed this homemade slush/smoothie. I couldn’t decide to call this a slush or a smoothie. Either way it is the perfect summer drink! We picked up a watermelon at the local farmers market and after we ate a bunch of it, I froze the rest of the chunks to use in smoothies. Best part is you don’t need to add in ice cubes when you freeze the watermelon. Yum!
Watermelon Lime Berry Slush
Frozen watermelon, strawberries, fresh lime & coconut water make this the perfect refreshing drink for summer!
Author: Adell Goff
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen watermelon chunks
- 5 fresh strawberries, stems removed
- juice from 1 lime
- ¾ cup coconut water*
- 1 Tablespoon sweetener, optional
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend till smooth. Add more liquid if needed.
Notes
*I have made this with both coconut water & almond/coconut milk blended milk. Both were great but we liked it with coconut water best.Test it without added sweetener and add if you feel it needs it. Depending on how sweet your watermelon is you probably won't need it. Enjoy!
