Spiced Buttermilk Caramel Syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup butter (1 stick)
- 2 Tablespoons karo syrup
- ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- In a medium sauce pan, combine the sugar, buttermilk, butter, karo & pumpkin pie spice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 3-4 minutes while stirring.
- Remove from heat and add the baking soda & vanilla.
- Serve over french toast, waffles etc.
